Tailor-made for you...

If you’re looking to create an event that will be memorable, meaningful and a little bit different to anything you’ve done before…well, look no further!! My workshops are something really unique and can be tailored to suit your needs.

Picture this…a group of you gathered together around a campfire in the woods, kettle on and marshmallow toasting a plenty…but add to that the opportunity to learn new skills and to make something completely individual to take home with you…a recipe for relaxation and satisfaction, spending time with people who are important to you, reconnecting, laughing and learning together…what more do you need…?

Be it for a Corporate team building / Staff wellness event, Special celebration, Stag or Hen do, Reunion, or just a long overdue get together with friends or family…these creative, immersive events will enhance and enrich your gathering…you can come to me or I can come to you…get in touch to discuss ideas and possibilities.

Location

Quarry Farm in Bodiam, East Sussex, is a perfect place for a group getaway and has a range of options for overnight accommodation should you wish to make it into a full on mini-break! I work in close collaboration with them to create the perfect event for your group and they are great hosts! Alternatively, if you have a site of your own or nearby that you’d prefer, I am able to come to you too.

About Me

I am a Design Technology Teacher by profession and have taught all age groups and various subjects for over 18 years in state, private and special education settings as well as freelance. I trained as a Level 3 Forest School Leader over 7 years ago because I absolutely love being outdoors, especially in the woods!                 I realised that as well as children today seriously lacking in time outside – especially amongst trees, us adults are too! We are also often lacking in time to just ‘play’, to be creative and to just STOP and breathe! So my mission is to do something about this and offer experiences and opportunities for ‘grown ups’ to  get outside and get their hands dirty – like we did when we were kids!!

Spending time in nature and spending time immersed in creative activities are 2 very powerful ways to ‘detox’ from our stressful modern lives – a way to press the ‘release valve’ and recalibrate. My workshops are designed with this in mind but also with a view to encouraging Life-long-learning – a proven way to keep our brains fit and even encourage neurogenesis (the creation of new brain cells).

Many of the parents at the schools I have worked in, expressed a fondness towards their CDT lessons – as they were called back then! – as well as recollecting times spent ‘down the woods’ or even just in the garden, playing and making stuff!      My intention is to try to reclaim a little bit of these precious things for our adult lives…simply because we need them! So join me for an experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied…better still, commission your own bespoke event with a group of friends or family and create lasting memories together.
